Early Childhood Mental Health Services
The Early Childhood Program focuses on children zero to five years of age and provides direct services to children, consultation to families, preschools, and day care providers, advocacy for families and children, and referrals. The program includes outreach to the community and collaboration with other service agencies in the communities.
Family Therapy
Our family therapy program helps members of the family cope with the challenges of emotional disturbances and mental illness within members of the family. This program provides direct and meaningful contact with the nuclear family on a regular basis and helps with conflicts within the family when they are viewed as part of the presenting problem.
Cedar Creek Day Treatment Program
In conjunction with the Montrose County School District and Montrose County Department of Health and Human Services, The Center offers the Cedar Creek Day Treatment program for adolescents ages 10 though 12. This structured environment provides academic and therapeutic services for students dealing with a behavioral health concern.
Northside Child Health Center
In partnership with the Montrose County School District RE-1J, The Center for Mental Health provides mental health services to the children of Northside Elementary School. The family is included in treatment. In addition to mental health services, students of all ages and from all over Montrose can find medical and dental services at Northside.
Olathe School and Community Health Center
In partnership with the Montrose County School District RE-1J and the Montrose Memorial Hospital, The Center for Mental Health provides mental health services to students of all ages as well as the entire community in an integrated setting where physical, mental, and dental healthcare come together to treat the whole person. People of all ages are welcome. All services are offered on a sliding fee scale. Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances are accepted.
Pediatric Associates Integrated Care
In partnership with Pediatric Associates of Montrose and Delta, The Center for Mental Health has a full-time therapist on site at the Pediatric Associates clinics offering mental healthcare along side physical and dental healthcare for all children identified as having a behavioral healthcare need. For better outcomes, services are fully integrated treating the whole child.
Vista Charter School
Through a partnership with Vista Charter School, The Center for Mental Health offers three full-time behavioral health therapists who work with students at Vista, Johnson Elementary and at Pamona Elementary. These therapists offer help to students who are experiencing behavioral healthcare issues.
